Public Participation Compliance
In compliance with South African environmental legislation, EkoInfo CC provides access to public documents for review and comment as part of formal public participation processes.
EkoInfo Has More Than 30 Years' Experience
EkoInfo CC was registered in 1995 by Willem de Frey as one of the first environmental consultancies in South Africa.
The arrival of Environmental Laws in South Africa’s constitution opened the door to a brand new industry focused on preserving the environment through sustainable development. EkoInfo’s journey started on the film set of The Ghost and the Darkness and has since expanded to reach across every province in South Africa and as far as the Congo in Central Africa.
An Engineer of Environmental Balance
Our logo pays homage to a critical critter in the ecosystem: the warthog. Warthogs influence every aspect of their environment, ensuring that the ecosystem remains in balance. The simple act of foraging for food works the soil around them, bringing buried nutrients to the surface and fostering healthy vegetation growth. Inhabiting and maintaining abandoned burrows offers shelter for other animals. The joy of a mud bath forms the beginnings of new ponds. Their presence in the ecosystem is vital for future prosperity.
Similarly, EkoInfo serves every aspect of the environmental industry to ensure legal compliance and future sustainability for everyone affected by the system. Like the warthog—alert, practical, and deeply rooted in its habitat—we approach environmental management with grounded expertise and a clear understanding of the landscapes we serve.
