Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
Supporting informed, legally compliant development decisions.
EkoInfo CC assists companies and private individuals with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for proposed activities listed in terms of the Environment Conservation Act (No. 73 of 1989). We guide clients through the assessment process to identify potential environmental impacts and ensure that all statutory requirements are met before development proceeds.
Environmental Management Programme Reports (EMPRs)
Defining clear, enforceable environmental management obligations.
EkoInfo CC supports mining companies with the preparation of Environmental Management Programme Reports (EMPRs) required for exploration and mining licence applications. Services are provided in accordance with the Minerals Act (No. 50 of 1991) and the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (No. 28 of 2002), ensuring that environmental management commitments are clearly defined and legally compliant.
Environmental Monitoring/Auditing
Identifying compliance risks and supporting corrective action.
EkoInfo CC provides environmental monitoring and auditing services to organisations whose activities may affect the environment. These services are aligned with the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (No. 108 of 1996), the National Environmental Management Act (No. 107 of 1998), and related legislation, including the National Water Act (No. 36 of 1998). Monitoring is conducted in accordance with Environmental Management Programme (EMP) requirements set out in Records of Decision (RODs) and existing mining rights.
Game or Livestock Management Reports
Enabling sustainable land use through site-specific management planning.
EkoInfo CC assists private and corporate landowners with the development of site-specific game or livestock management plans. Reports are tailored to the property and the client’s management objectives and experience level. Key considerations include veld condition, carrying capacity, stocking rates, and practical management issues such as bush encroachment, fire management, and alien vegetation control.
Geographic Information Analysis and Management (GIS)
Providing data-driven insight for effective environmental management.
EkoInfo CC develops and maintains Geographic Information System (GIS)-based databases to support informed environmental and land management decision-making. These systems can be updated at client-defined intervals, allowing for the analysis of trends, identification of emerging issues, and prioritisation of management actions over time.
